Mardi Himal Trek

Annapurna Base Camp trek is outstanding hiking where you need 2 weeks in Nepal for the package. The santuary of Annapurna is surrounded by mighty Himalaya. This trek IS equally fascinate for either experienced hiker or amateur walker. The vistas from Annapurna base camp and panaromic views from Poonhill are the best highlight of the ABC trek. The trek for ABC will start from By-road or flight to Pokhara a beautiful lakeside city quite close to the annapurna range. The view will take your breath away. We will start at Nayapul and go as far as Tikhedhunga on first day 3/4 hours. Then we will take step up to Ghorepani. Next morning we will go Poonhill which is our highlight. We can see stunning view of the Mt. Dhaulagiri(7th highest mountain of the World), Annapurna range, fistail, Ghorepani and Poonhill is a rhododendron forest area. In february, March and April the rhododendron will be blooming. Decend to tadapani si quite long and steep so we will take a day, through the farming countryside. Continually our ABC trek will head to Chhomrung Village (2170 meter). Where we will stay overnight. Next day our trek starts to Himalaya (2920) and after some day we will be at Annapurna Base Camp (4130) which is our destination of this trip. Day by day we will take you low altitude to high altitude because of avoiding altitude sickness. On the same day before getting to ABC we will exploreMBC. After spending night there, the next day we will trek back to Pokhara crossing beautiful village like, Bamboo(2345), Jhinu (hot spring) (1780) walking towards high altitude to low altitude well be easy so we can get Pokhara within 3 days walking, from Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From ABC we can see beautiful moutains like, Fishtail, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Baraha Shikakhar, Singu Chuli, Gangapurna and Tent peak.

ABC trek Itinary
Day 1: Pokhara to Tikhedhunga 3/4 hours walk and overnight at teahouse.
Day 2: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani 6 hours walk, overnight at teahouse eco village
Day 3: Ealry in the morning, climb up to Poonhill for sunrise and stunning view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range and climb down to Ghorepani and keep continue our trek to tadapani. 5/6 hours walk, eco village
Day 4: Tadapani to Chhomrung village, 5/6 hours walk, very close view of South Annapurna and Hiuchuli
Day 5: Chhomrung to Himalaya 5/6 hours walk, breakfast and trek to Himalaya Via sinuwa, Bamboo Dobhan
Day 6: Himalay to MBC (3700m) 5/6 hours walk, take breakfast, trek MBC via Deurali.
Day 7: MBC to ABC(4100m) take a breakfast and trek to ABC 2 hours walk
Day 8: Abc to Bamboo(2310m) after sunrise, taking ome time before breakfast for picture and keep down
Day 9: Bamboo to Ghandruk(1940m) 5 hours walk. At that day we need ot climb down and up. We will stay in Gurung village
Day 10: Ghandruk to Pokhara, walk until Nayapul and take taxi to Pokhara.

What are the toilets facilities in the tea house / guesthouse and during trek, do we need to bring toilet paper for the trek?

Most of the tea house have western style flushing toilet however in higher elevations you could find the squat toilet made of either a ceramic basin on the ground or few planks precariously positioned over a hole in the ground which is always outside of the room. In case of emergency during trek, you just do toilet sling the trail wherever you find privacy. All the guesthouse sell the toilet paper do you can buy it there itself. Hand sanitizers and towel you must bring your own.

Can I walk across the entire Nepali Himalaya?

Sure !! It will take some time- as the high route is about 1700 km and the lowest one is about 1500km - but it’s possible and several people have done it Most people , however, will choose a section that appeals to them, for instance the manaslu and Ganesh himal. Section .

How many miles do we walk per day?

Min the mountain we measure hikers in hours, rather than miles.on most trek 4/7 hours per day , with a lunch break of 1/2 hours in the middle.we encourage you to walk at you own pace. There is no need to rush or stay up with other during the daily hikers.there will always be a guide at the back of the group to make sure that you arrive safety to camp.we know that much of the fun of trekking is maintaining a pace which will allow you to fully enjoy your surroundings .

Do I need to carry a backpack?

No, but you have to carry light day pack containing water bottle, camera , an extra layer of clothing , sunglasses , s rain coat or wind breaker, snacks. Porter will carry all of the heavy gear.

Are your staff fully equipped and what about their insurance?

All our staff has insurance and free access to equipment. The salaries are above average and our staff member are free to join any trade union. Medical care , if needed, is for everyone in the expedition. Our porter carry a maximum 25 kg and if porter gets sick we will take care of him until he has recovered . This means that our clients are paying a slightly higher rent but you are stopping decent and equitable working conditions for all staff.

What’s happen if there is an emergency?

If there is an emergency during the trek, your guides will deal with the situation, they are trained for this. In most case the company will contact your insurance company and the appropriate measures will be implied.! The company and your guide will do the upmost to ensure your safe return in the rare occasion of such a problem arising.
